Dennis Seaton, Director of Human Resources, Church Growth and Personnel
Prior to joining the Central California Conference in 1992, Pastor Dennis Seaton worked in the Montana Conference as a Pastor and Director of Trust Services and Church Ministries.
As vice president for Human Resources, Dennis handles everything relating to the CCC’s nearly 1,700 permanent and temporary employees. This includes recruiting and hiring, caring for benefits, and working with employment law, immigration, and worker’s compensation. He works with the conference’s ethnic coordinators and local churches in the selection and placement of pastors, and is actively involved in a variety of evangelism projects and several major conference committees.
Dennis appreciates the philosophy and vision of the CCC, saying, “Central’s four Vision Priorities address the full spiritual needs of the individual,” he says. “I like that. They drive us forward as an organization and keep us on God’s agenda.” “I get to work with people in a variety of circumstances,” he continues. “It is a privilege to help them solve problems and get the resources they need so they can accomplish what God has called them to do.”
Outside of his responsibilities at the conference office, Dennis is the Supervising Pastor for his local church. He and his wife Starla have two children: Benjamin, a dentist in Los Banos, and Nichola, a Christian counselor working with children and families. The Seatons have four grandchildren, which puts them far ahead in the conference office grandparent tally.
His favorite scriptures are Psalms 23:4, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” and Isaiah 26:3 - “The steadfast of mind you will keep in perfect peace because he trusts in You.”
