Elder Steve Horton is
a second generation Adventist raised in the San Francisco Philadelphian SDA
church. He is the husband of Kimberly; they have three adult children
and three grandchildren.
He has served as a minister in the Central California Conference for over 26
years, from 1976 to present. He has served as pastor, Director of
African-American Ministries and Director of Senior Youth/Young Adult
Ministries. He is currently serving as Vice President for Ministries
in Central California Conference responsible for Church Ministries and
Director of Senior Youth and Young Adult Ministries.
His mission in life is to heal lives, restore people and prepare people to
live with Jesus eternally.
Vision for Church Ministries
The members of CCC are a wonderfully blessed and gifted people. We are
commissioned by God as a “Royal Priesthood” to carry the Three Angels
message to the world. In unity with our conference vision priorities
(Spiritual Growth, Loving Fellowship and Unity, Mobilization of all
members spiritual gifts and Outreach), Church Ministries has the challenge
to:
- Cast a shared vision for ministry.
- Develop a plan for ministry both in reach and outreach.
- Provide training in the work of ministry.
- Mobilize our members, God’s priesthood of believers, to do
the work of ministry
“ It is not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit”, saith the Lord,
that the work of ministry is to be accomplished. I seek your collective
prayers for the hand of God to guide us, empower us, and bless us with a
finished work.
