A planned fire made it possible for us to replace this
antique! It also provided the fire department an opportunity to
practice. We are looking forward to "new" and
"clean". |
|
After the fire, and with a lot of planning, the new
bathroom is in the building process. |

The foundation is in process here on May 7. We are
planning on having this building done by camp meeting time. |
|
Major work is being done in the main auditorium.
The ceiling is being re-done and the old batting has been painted.
It all should make for a different feeling as you walk in this
summer. |

|
How about new doors. These have been long overdue.
They are metal, and should last for some time. |
|
The inside walls of the Main Auditorium are being
resurfaced with new sheetrock. The previous walls were of the old
vintage cement variety. |

 |
|
Due to some major roof repair, there should be no
leaks for awhile. |
|
Painting is always a necessity at Soquel. The
weather, while nice for the tourist, is hard on buildings. Thanks to
our volunteer staff, they will have that new fresh paint look. |

Ever notice the cracks in the sidewalks? They have
grown due to earthquakes, temperature changes and many other
factors. There has been some major work done on the sidewalks in
front of the cabins... |
|
...Including replacing some from scratch! |
