Elder Jerry N. Page, President, has been the administrative and spiritual leader
for Central California Conference since moving from the Pennsylvania Conference in 1995.
Elder Page and his wife, Janet, are the parents of two sons
-
Tyson and Zach. Janet, serves as Prayer Ministries Coordinator,
and teams with Jerry to conduct Prayer Workshops
in churches throughout the Conference.
When I first arrived in Central, I initiated
visioning and dialoguing with a number of groups in the Conference. We were seeking to
know God's priorities and His vision for us as a church family. At a constituency
meeting shortly following my arrival we voted the following four vision
priorities which your conference leadership team has been using to test all plans, objectives, resource decisions, and activities.
They are as follows.
Spiritual Growth
A major focus of our effort has gone toward cooperating with the Lord to find ways to
help people develop a real experience with Him. Since we have been told our greatest need
is a "revival of true godliness" and that "revival need be expected only in
answer to prayer" (1SM 121), we have initiated a major emphasis on prayer ministries
and spiritual retreats.
Loving Fellowship and Unity
In John 17 Jesus intensely prayed that we would truly be one.
We believe our Lord is bringing this about in Central across all cultural, economic,
geographic, and relational lines. Our Conference team is encouraging and giving training
in small group ministries for nurture, fellowship, and outreach. Soquel Camp Meeting is
being maximized to draw the CCC family together in love and shared vision.
Mobilization of All Members'
Spiritual Gifts
Every believer has at least one spiritual gift. The Conference
office team believes our Biblical job description from Ephesians 4 is to train, resource
and equip the priesthood of all believers for their works of ministry. From written
communications such as newsletters to camp meeting testimonies we are attempting to model
and encourage volunteerism and a wide variety of spiritual gift ministries.

Outreach
Our mission is to reach everyone in our territory with our
Lord's opportunity for salvation We thank the Lord for positive trends in growth of
attendance, additions through baptism, and net church membership. Our Conference
membership stood at 31,052 at the end of 2003. Retention of new members is vital, and our four Conference priorities
lead us to the best ways to keep people in our church families.
We are also excited that
through the
miracle evangelism offering given each year by our members at camp meeting we
now have a greatly expanded number of outreaches of various kinds including
about 25 new church plants and thirty seven Bible workers with special focus on
training lay members for their ministries.
Our Lord's vision is to write the last chapter of the Book of
Acts in His people's lives here in Central California and around the world. Then He will
return. We have so much for which to thank Him in our Conference family. We also need to
ask His forgiveness for the many times, without knowing it, we didn't follow His leading
or His Word to accomplish what He really wanted. But Christ has said, "My grace is
sufficient for you; for my strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor. 12:9. We
praise the Lord for all He has done and is doing! All our challenges are opportunities for
us to trust Him, pray, work, and see His power! "He is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His power that works in us!"
Ephesians 3:20.
